North Segment
July 2017
Denton
Construction
- The I-35E TEXpress Lanes from Swisher Road in Denton County to the LBJ Express in Dallas opened in late May.
- The final surface paving for the north- and southbound mainlanes will continue through late summer. There will be various nightly mainlane closures along the I-35E corridor for this work and motorists should be prepared for short term uneven pavement conditions.
- The pedestrian walkway and through lanes on the North Texas Boulevard bridge are scheduled to be completed in July. The U-turn lanes on each end of the bridge are scheduled to be completed in August.
- The northbound I-35E entrance ramp from North Texas Boulevard, the southbound exit ramp to North Texas Boulevard are scheduled to open in August. The southbound entrance ramp from North Texas Boulevard and the northbound exit ramp to McCormick Street are scheduled to open in July.
- The northbound exit ramp to North Texas Boulevard, the southbound entrance ramp from Fort Worth Drive and the northbound exit to Fort Worth Drive will shift to permanent configuration in July.
- McCormick Street is scheduled to re-open to traffic in July. The southbound frontage road between McCormick Street and Lindsey Street is scheduled to close for two weeks in July.
- The southbound frontage road will be closed between McCormick Street and Lindsey Street for approximately two weeks in July.
- The Post Oak Drive bridge is scheduled for completion in August with two through lanes in each direction as well as two turn lanes in each direction. Work rebuilding the intersections on either side of the bridge is ongoing.
Corinth
Construction

- The two-way condition on the southbound frontage road between Hickory Creek Road and Oak Drive will end with the opening of the Oak Drive/Lake Dallas Drive intersection in July.
- The additional lanes of Turbeville Road/Hundley Drive are scheduled to open in August.
- The additional north- and southbound I-35E mainlanes, frontage road lanes and pedestrian/bike paths on the Lewisville Lake bridges are scheduled to open this summer.
- Work on Highland Village Road at the southbound I-35E frontage road is scheduled to be completed in July.
- Work on Copperas Branch Park and Highland Lakes Park has begun and is scheduled for completion this summer.

Construction

- The FM 407 intersection is expected to fully reopen in July. Crews are finalizing the decorative paving and aesthetic work on the interchange. There will be various lane closures of the intersection in July to complete paving work.
- Work continues on the new Fox Avenue and Garden Ridge Boulevard bridges with additional lanes on both spans scheduled to be opened in August.
- The additional north- and southbound I-35E mainlane, frontage road lanes and pedestrian/bike paths on the Lewisville Lake bridges are scheduled to open this summer.
- Work on Highland Village Road at the southbound I-35E frontage road is scheduled to be completed in July.
- Work on Copperas Branch Park and Highland Lakes Park has begun and is scheduled for completion this summer.

Farmers Branch
Construction
- The I-35E TEXpress Lanes from Swisher Road in Denton County to the LBJ Express in Dallas opened in late May.
- The final surface paving for the north- and southbound mainlanes will continue through late summer. There will be various nightly mainlane closures along the I-35E corridor for this work and motorists should be prepared for short term uneven pavement conditions.
- Work on ramps connecting the LBJ Express TEXpress Lanes to the 35Express TEXpress Lanes continues. Motorists should expect nightly closures of various north- and southbound mainlanes between Royal Lane and Interstate 635.
- Work on the westbound I-635 to northbound I-35E mainlane bridge and the southbound I-35E bridge to eastbound I-635 mainlane bridge will continue through July.
Carrollton
Construction
- The I-35E TEXpress Lanes from Swisher Road in Denton County to the LBJ Express in Dallas opened in late May.
- The final surface paving for the north- and southbound mainlanes will continue through late summer. There will be various nightly mainlane closures along the I-35E corridor for this work and motorists should be prepared for short term uneven pavement conditions.
- The additional lanes of the new elevated Belt Line Road intersection are scheduled to open this summer. While this work continues, motorists should expect overnight lane reductions and closures of the Belt Line Road intersection.
- The Broadway Street intersection at Belt Line Road is scheduled to reopen in July.
- Work on the north side of Dickerson Parkway east of I-35E is complete and has shifted to reconstructing the south side of the roadway. The new bridge is scheduled to open in August.
